From Byron Bay, I spent 2 nights in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, it was a very different vibe to the rest of Australia and gave of Magaluf vibes, we went out the first night as it was a bank holiday then I spent the next day wondering about (very hungover) before going on a glow worm tour in the evening. Glow worms are tiny luminescent creatures that emit a soft blue-green light, creating a mesmerizing glow in dark environments, due to the moonlight we couldn’t see them very much, the tour guide was a bit interesting which led to a very odd experience. We did see a huntsman spider though which was pretty cool.

After bidding farewell to Surfers Paradise, I made my way to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling well during my stay, which limited my exploration of the city. However, the glimpses I caught of Brisbane left me eager to return and explore it properly in the future.
One of the highlights of my trip was a day excursion to Moreton Island, a breathtaking island located off the coast of Brisbane. Moreton Island is a nature lover’s paradise, with pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and an abundance of wildlife. We began our adventure by sandboarding down the towering sand dunes which was sooo fun. Later, we hopped on a glass-bottom kayak, allowing us to admire the vibrant underwater world teeming with colourful fish and coral formations. I didn’t know anyone on this trip so I got to meet some nice people. We then went Snorkeling around the shipwrecks which provided a surreal experience, as I found myself surrounded by an array of marine life in a unique and historical setting.
